Welcome to the Radical Rest Collective. We offer trainings and workshops for cultivating the skills to practice and teach the Power of Quiet. In a world that validates "busy", our fellow humans have literally forgotten how to truly rest. The word Radical is derived from an old Latin word which means "going to the origin, essential".

The courses you will find here will deepen your own relationship to rest, and you will gain the skills to guide others through empowering, embodied journeys of discovery, nourishment and clarity.

We are creating a Rest Revolution -Hurrah!

“Spending time immersed in Sheila's Seven Seeds Yoga Nidra Training is amazing. Sheila is a fountain of knowledge in her area's of expertise. Sheila has a medical background, so her Eastern/Western medicine skillset is rich and she shares it with great skill and clarity. After I completed the course, I felt totally prepared to teach, and beautifully connected to my sankalpa and to my nidra community. The built in dance breaks were a blast too!

If you are considering exploring and understanding the very special practice of Yoga Nidra, I highly recommend Sheila and her training.”

~ Heather Elson (Yoga Teacher, Hamilton ON)

Hi, I’m Sheila Cullen.

I teach the Power of Quiet amidst a world of chaos. I grew up in a big loud family-being the middle of 8 kids. It took some very creative maneuvering to find peace and quiet! These skills have served me well through the years and I love sharing the tools I've cultivated through teaching and training the practices of Yoga Nidra, somatic exploration and breath work. I can truly attest that the return investment on intentional rest will exponentially change your life.

I have been practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years. I was always drawn to the more contemplative styles. (Yin, Hatha)

Yoga Nidra became an integral part of of my yoga tool box almost 20 years ago. The deep embodiment, sublime breath work and creative languaging of Yoga Nidra has enhanced my relationships, my sense of well being and my artistic endeavours in ways I could never have imagined.

My background as a Respiratory Therapist at a large trauma center in Toronto has given me front line opportunity to use the knowledge I've gathered over the years. It has allowed me to integrate both Western and Eastern concepts that serve me well in both areas.

I truly believe that when we take the time and give ourselves permission for constructive rest, we can listen to the voice of our hearts and share true connection within, with our communities and the world at large.
